Cancel a plan and get a refund

You can stop paying for anything at any time from the console. Only owners and admins of a workspace can make these changes. This page covers Sites & Apps, Web Hosting and domains in turn.

Launch is free, so moving every site back to Launch stops your Sites & Apps payments.

  1. Open the site and go to its Billing tab.

  2. Select Move back to Launch.

  3. Check the date and select Move back on that date.

The site keeps Boost until the end of the month you’ve paid for, then moves to Launch: 512 MB of memory, 1 CPU, 100 GB of traffic a month, and its 5 newest versions. It stays online throughout. Nothing is refunded for the rest of the month.

Changed your mind? Until that date, the site shows Moving to Launch on the date, with a Keep Boost button.

When every Boost site has been moved back, the Sites & Apps tab in Billing says nothing more is charged.

Removing extra CPU or memory from a Boost site charges nothing, and any unused time is credited on your next invoice.

Cancelling stops the hosting at the end of the period you’ve paid for. Until then your sites and email work as normal.

  1. Go to Billing, then the Web Hosting tab.

  2. On the hosting plan’s card, select Cancel hosting.

  3. Read what happens, then select Cancel hosting again to confirm.

The card then shows Ends on the date. To change your mind before then, select Keep hosting.

Cancelling is only in Billing. The Web Hosting page shows the hosting’s status but has no cancel button.

Web Hosting bought in the console comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee on the hosting.

  1. Go to Billing, Web Hosting.

  2. On the plan’s card, select Cancel and get a refund. It shows for 30 days after you buy.

  3. Select Cancel and refund to confirm.

We refund what you paid for the hosting and cancel it straight away, so its sites and email stop at once. The website files are kept for 2 days in case you need a copy, then deleted.

The 30-day guarantee above is for Web Hosting. For Boost, traffic packs, extra CPU or memory, email support@cloudzyro.com from your account’s email address and we’ll sort out a refund. Domain registrations and renewals aren’t refundable.

Domain registrations and renewals can’t be refunded, including a domain bought with Web Hosting. If you refund or cancel hosting, a domain bought with it stays yours until it expires.

To stop a domain renewing, turn off Auto-renew for it, either on the Domains list or on the domain’s page. It then expires on its date. WHOIS privacy works the same way: switch it off and it stops renewing at the end of the paid year. See Renewals and transferring away.

For hosting bought in the console:

  • When it ends, because you cancelled or because a payment couldn’t be taken, the hosting is suspended. Its sites and email stop.
  • 2 days later, its website files, email and databases are deleted for good. We email you the day before.
  • Until then, the account shows when it’ll be deleted. To get it back or keep a copy, email support@cloudzyro.com before that date.

If your hosting came over from the old dashboard, it works a little differently:

  • Cancel hosting is on its card in Billing, Web Hosting. If payment is set up, it stops when what you’ve paid for runs out and nothing more is charged. If payment isn’t set up and the renewal is overdue, it stops straight away.
  • When it ends, it’s suspended and its files are kept for a while. To come back, select Set up payment: it’s turned back on within a few minutes.
  • If payment isn’t set up within 7 days of the renewal date, the hosting is suspended in the same way.
  • Your domains aren’t affected.

To get a copy of anything from a suspended account, email support@cloudzyro.com.

Moving sites to Launch and cancelling hosting doesn’t close your account. To close it and everything in it, see Sign up and sign in.
